Questi orecchini pendenti dal design essenziale e arcaico riproducono la forma di un un uccellino nuragico. Sono interamente realizzati a mano con l'antica tecnica della cera persa.

Sulla cima dell'albero maestro delle navicelle nuragiche trovava spesso posto un piccolo uccellino.
Aveva ali chiuse e forme essenziali, guardava verso prua e il suo significato è ancora oggi misterioso.
Per alcuni era un simbolo legato a Venere, per altri riproduceva una colomba perché i naviganti dell'antichità usavano liberare gli uccelli per osservarne il volo e ritrovare la terra.

Io non so cosa volesse dire allora ma mi piace pensare che, come un messaggero di tempi lontani, questo uccellino sia qui oggi per parlarci di libertà, rispetto dei popoli e pace.
Tutti concetti di cui noi, donne e uomini di questo secolo, abbiamo un disperato bisogno.

These pendant earrings with their simple, archaic design reproduce the shape of a Nuragic bird. They are entirely handmade using the ancient lost wax technique.

A small bird was often placed on top of the mast of Nuragic ships.
It had closed wings and simple shapes, looked towards the bow and its meaning is still mysterious today.
For some, it was a symbol linked to Venus, for others it represented a dove because ancient sailors used to release birds to observe their flight and find land.

I do not know what it meant back then, but I like to think that, like a messenger from distant times, this little bird is here today to speak to us of freedom, respect for peoples and peace.
All concepts that we, the women and men of this century, desperately need.
